Coaching

Give yourself dedicated time to focus on the stuff that really matters — personally and professionally.

My 3-month long coaching program is designed to bring you more clarity, direction and momentum than you thought possible.

What Is Coaching

My Definition

“Coaching is facilitated introspection that raises self-awareness and sparks intentional action. A reflective container for you to inspect the important stuff in your life with mindful awareness, new perspective, and experimentation.”

How Does It Work?

I am a professionally-trained certified life coach, but you are the expert of your life. To that end, I will not tell you what to do. With your permission I will share insight or perspective, but mostly I’ll help you get grounded, resourced, answering questions you never thought to ask yourself.

The process is not always linear. But if you show up vulnerably and honestly, the coaching container will help you move yourself forward.

How Is Coaching Different?

  1. Therapy focuses on the past and is led by a licensed clinician. Coaching focuses on the present/future and is facilitated by a coach.

  2. Consultants offer advice and wisdom based on their experience. Coaching helps you access your own wisdom.

  3. Teachers come with learning objectives. Coaches support your own learning objectives.

Who It’s For

Coaching is great if you want to…

  • Get unstuck in aspects of your personal or professional life

  • Carve out time for introspection (but you don’t reliably do it)

  • Uplevel your relationships with colleagues, partners, kids & friends

  • Express yourself confidently and handle conflict with more ease

  • Take steps towards a goal or vision that’s lived on the back-burner

  • Increase your vitality by developing new habits that stick

  • Be brave, badass & proud of how you spend your time

Coaching is NOT great if you…

Have deep-rooted trauma that you have not yet processed in counseling, or are experiencing severe mental instability or illness. I recommend you work with a licensed clinical professional first. Coaching is not a replacement for psychotherapy.

While I have completed some trauma-informed training, I am not a licensed trauma-informed coach. I genuinely want you to get the right support and take this ethical line seriously.

3-Month Coaching Program

Depth Coaching Program

3-Month Coaching Immersion

This intimate three-month coaching program begins when you’re ready to start making moves.

To go deep into an area of your life that really needs some attention requires a certain level of commitment. That’s why most of my programs are 3 months, minimum.

Are you ready to spend 12 weeks getting really intentional about taking action around something that really matters to you?

If yes, read on.

The Pillars We Explore

Over the course of our 12 weeks together, these concepts are explored in the order that naturally unfolds.

  • Intention - Getting clear on your ultimate intention for your coaching program acts as a ‘north star’ for our sessions and helps you track progress.

  • Presence - Before transformation can happen, we have to get grounded, establish safety with your nervous system, and deepen awareness. From this place, we can get creative and dream.

  • Embodiment - We practice dropping into the body, noticing what’s there, listening to it, engaging intuition, and developing self-trust.

  • Mindset - Adjusting what we think and say to ourselves can be the ‘unlock moment’ clients have been waiting for. It’s wildly empowering to get control over your thoughts.

  • Communication - Feeling good in your mind and body is critical. But if you can’t also express yourself authentically and effectively to others you will find yourself in similar patterns. I use Nonviolent Communication and Internal Family Systems to inform this piece.

The Holistic Support You’ll Get

During our time together in this container, you receive:

  • A free 30-min Clarity Call. Ask your questions and ensure it’s aligned before committing

  • 3 months of accountability and support from a certified life coach

  • Unlimited asynchronous coaching & integration support (via Voxer audio messaging)

  • AI-generated summary of insights & action steps from each session

  • Supporting resources like podcasts, meditations & self-coaching exercises, where relevant

  • Seamless scheduling & automated reminders to lighten your cognitive load

After 12 weeks of coaching, you'll have the option to renew. (Unused synchronous coaching sessions will expire.)

The Cost

Three months of holistic coaching is $999 (or $333 per month).

About Sliding Scale Pricing

I want to help to create an honest & accessible culture of payment. To that end, I offer a sliding scale model (inspired by the Green Bottle Model from Worts + Cunning and Simone Grace Seol’s thoughts on Radically Inclusive Pricing).

Take a look below to determine which price is appropriate for you. 👇

Pay It Forward Rate

  • If you have access to financial security, own property, or have personal savings;

  • if you are able to pay for "wants" and spend little time worrying about securing necessities in your life;

  • If you have economic privilege and power in our community, this price is for you.

By choosing this price, you are “paying it forward” and contributing to a more equitable world by supporting course access for those with less.

Standard Rate

  • You may be paying off debt or building savings, but you have access to steady income;

  • You do NOT spend most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc;

  • You might have to cut some discretionary spending (dinners out, new outfits, vacations, etc), but the sacrifice is short-term and will not harm you in the long term.

Community Supported Rate

  • You struggle to maintain access to basic needs such as food, housing, or child care or are living paycheck to paycheck;

  • You support dependents, have significant debt, have medical expenses not covered by insurance, or receive public assistance;

  • You are able to put away money each month to save up to be able to pay for the program, but the middle tier price would mean that you have to save for longer than 12 months.

*Note about Sliding Scale Models

This is an honor system! It’s my hope that by providing 6 different ways to pay, these services can be more accessible to those that need it most.

Please be mindful that if you opt in to the lower price when you can truthfully afford a higher price, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. If buying this program means making short-term sacrifices, having to get creative, or asking others for financial help (but it's not going to actually jeopardize your safety) we ask that you take advantage of those resources before using the sliding scale, which may limit opportunities for others.

Being honest about your financial situation and choosing a price point responsibly respects my work and ensures I can continue to provide these services in a healthy and sustainable way for the community.

What Clients Say

This “work” of coaching doesn’t have to feel like “hard work.”

Yes, coaching sessions can be heavy, but many of them are quite fun. Most clients report feeling “lighter” and “inspired to tack action” and “setup for success” at the end of sessions.

I believe in the power of play and pleasure to help us expand and grow. That means I’ll ask questions like — “How can you make this more fun for yourself? How can you experience more pleasure in pursuing this goal? What are you learning about yourself?”

“In one of our sessions, Jen helped prepare me for a big conversation with my manager that I felt nervous about.

With the help of her communication models, I very quickly felt prepared and confident. We also came up with ideas around how I could stay grounded, should I get a curveball.

The conversation went… better than I imagined possible. I stayed present and attuned to my manager's response, without rambling or losing face.

Was so glad I took the time to think through this in advance with Jen.”

John

“Through coaching with Jen, I now have a handful of new concrete tools to use when I feel disconnected from myself.

I can now more easily and quickly get back in touch with my core, when I feel off course.”

FAQs

  • Yes, please! My free 30-minute Clarity Call is designed to ensure you feel a “full—body yes” before investing in a coaching program.

    Another option is to get on my newsletter or join a workshop/group program to know me a bit more.

  • We’ll hop on a Zoom, get a vibe check, and get questions answered.

    If at the end if the Clarity Call you feel that MAYBE you want to enroll in coaching… I will ask you to consider what you need to clarify your decision (more info, time, reference, etc).

    If you’re feeling a strong “YES” about investing in 12-weeks of coaching, you’ll then: 1) select where you’re at on the sliding scale, 2) sign a contract, and 3) schedule your sessions.

    If you’re feeling NO or NOT NOW, then I celebrate you for reaching clarity. I genuinely trust that you know yourself and what support you need, and will gladly wish you well.

  • We Zoom with video or just with audio - it’s your choice.

    In our first session, you decide on an overarching goal for your coaching program.

    Prior to each session, I ask that you think about that goal, and try to identify a specific focus for this session that feels most important. Describe what would ideally be different at the end of the session.

    During the session, expect to be asked questions that you may not have asked yourself. Sometimes clients get specific with the details of the story details, and I may interrupt to ensure we are keeping the coaching on the agenda. This is out of respect for you and the container.

    With your permission, I will share observations or insights that arise for me. I do that with no attachment to being ‘right’.

  • We can coach on nearly any topic — relationships, business, career transitions, personal growth, life transitions, parenting, etc. My focus is always on coaching YOU and moving you towards empowered choice.

    I trust you to bring what’s most important to the table each session, but will keep your overarching coaching goals in mind.

    Most often, I help my clients get more clarity on what they want, identify what’s holding them back, and design experiments to try to get them closer to where they want to go.

    If you don’t have a specific topic in mind for a session… don’t freak out! The process of agenda-setting is also coaching and is super important.

  • While I am trauma-informed, I do not work directly with Trauma (big “T”). I ask you to first work with a clinician, licensed counselor, or a trauma coach to ensure you get the critical support you need, before diving into other areas. This is for your safety and to best serve you.

    There are numerous little “t” traumas that may come up in session, which is expected and welcomed as a part of the process.

  • After every session you are encouraged to:

    • Summarize your takeaways and aha moments (email them to me, if you need the accountability!)

    • Name the action items that you need to be accountable to move yourself forward

    • Respond to the customized writing prompts I send you, when requested.

    • Explore any resources I share with you that related to our session (podcast episodes, videos, books, etc)

  • 1-off sessions scheduled whenever folks get around to it... doesn't work well. I've seen this as both a coach and a client.

    I promise, exploring coaching in that way will not move the needle in the way you desire. A structured (but flexible) program like this one lends makes coaching more effective. (Exceptions can be made for returning clients.)

PWYC Coaching

Do you feel called to my coaching, but it’s not financially possible yet?

To provide greater access to those that have been implicitly and explicitly marginalized, I offer a limited number of ‘pay what you can’ coaching packages every year.

If most of these statements apply to you, please inquire:

- I am BIWoC, LGBTQIA+, or gender non-conforming

- I support children or have other dependents

- I have significant debt or medical expenses not covered by insurance

- I receive public assistance

- I have immigration-related expenses

If this describes your current situation, you’re encouraged to apply.

(Thank you, Hadassah Damien, for your work on sliding scale for economic justice.)
